Our accommodation, with shared bathroom facilities, is simple but comfortable. Choose between a dormitory
or double rooms, and live life at nature’s pace, here in the heart of the hamlet.
Creole cuisine : get ready for a festival of flavours with Gildas and Lydia’s Creole cuisine, made mainly from fresh local ingredients. Meals (dinner and breakfast) are a great opportunity to chat to other guests.
Hiking and excursions : Mafate is a hiker’s paradise. Explore picturesque footpaths, cross rivers and marvel at breath-taking panoramas. An adventure like this requires good physical preparation and the right equipment – feel free to ask us for advice.
Meeting and sharing : the people of Mafate are warm and welcoming, happy to open the doors to their culture and their unique way of life. These enriching discussions will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your stay.
A friendly reminder : these are isolated premises where operations may be limited due to difficulties in supplying water and energy sources. Waste disposal is also difficult to manage, as its volume exceeds the building’s operating capacity. On a protected site like this, eco-responsible behaviour
is therefore essential:
- Take spare batteries before you leave because you won’t be able to recharge your electronic devices
- Take your own rubbish with you, including biodegradables
- Water is scarce and should be used sparingly. It cannot be provided free of charge. You can only buy bottled water
